The slow unravelling kept me hooked, but I wonder if the author planned this pacing from the start or discovered it during writing.

Their conflicting motivations made me question how well I really knew them. Did others find themselves rooting for one over the other?

The lighthearted moments provided relief, but I’m curious whether that was a conscious choice to reflect the characters' resilience.
