Its mysterious presence adds so much atmosphere and tension. I'm curious whether it was based on folklore or entirely a creation of Brooks.

I loved the character development, but those parts felt a bit slower compared to the action scenes. Was that intentional to build tension or just how the story evolved?

Switching perspectives gave a broader view of the world, but I wonder if that was planned from the start or developed during writing to enhance the epic scope.
