The protagonist’s journey felt very raw and genuine, but I wondered how much of that was influenced by Irving’s own experiences or observations.

This approach made the story feel intimate and layered, but I'm curious whether it was a conscious choice to mirror the character’s internal process.

Some relationships felt deeply fleshed out while others seemed more fleeting. Did that variation enhance the story or leave some threads feeling unresolved?
