The way past actions haunted the characters made me wonder how much our history defines us. Was that sense of suspense effective for others?

Focusing on the fallout gave the narrative a tight, intense feel. I'm curious if this was planned from the start or developed during writing.

The characters' choices felt complex and realistic, but at times made me question my own judgments. Did others feel similarly intrigued or uneasy?
