The forced proximity and fake dating tropes worked so well, but I wondered if the chemistry felt a bit too idealized. Did that make the romance more believable or less?

The setting really adds to the cozy, small-town vibe, but I'm curious whether the author has personal ties to Louisiana or chose it for its unique atmosphere.

The witty back-and-forth made me smile, but at points, the pacing slowed down. Was that intentional to build character or just a writing style?
