The characters challenge traditional good vs. evil stereotypes, which made me wonder how much of their complexity was planned from the start.

The tension between the characters felt so palpable, but I kept wondering if this heightened the emotional stakes or made the story harder to believe.

The world-building felt seamless, but I’m curious whether the fantasy lore was developed first or shaped around the love story.
