Ted Dekker's blend of faith and suspense is compelling — I wonder what motivated him to intertwine these elements so seamlessly.

The characters' struggles with faith and doubt felt very real, but I’m curious if others found these conflicts as impactful as I did.

The fantasy elements add a layer of allegory, but I wonder if the story would have hit differently in a more realistic setting.
