The richness of the setting really drew me in, but I wonder how much of it was planned from the start versus evolved during writing.

The story shifted focus to internal politics and character development, which made me pause. Was that intentional to deepen the world or a pacing choice?

The dragons have such a strong presence — I’d love to hear what creative decisions went into making them feel like more than just mythical beasts.
