The rich world-building really stood out to me, and I wonder what the author drew from to craft this universe. Was it inspired by myths, personal experiences, or something else?

I enjoyed how the romantic elements felt natural within the story, but I'm curious if others felt they balanced well with the fantasy plot or if it felt like a different tone sometimes.

There were moments where I couldn’t put the book down, but also sections that slowed down — I wonder if this pacing was deliberate to build tension or just a natural flow.
