Conversations of Socrates

Reading Xenophon’s account gave a different perspective on Socrates’ personality and methods. Did anyone else notice subtle differences in their depiction of his philosophical approach?

This approach made Socrates feel more human and accessible, but I wonder if Xenophon aimed to highlight specific aspects of his character through this choice.

The dialogues are quite detailed and slow-paced at times. I’m curious if this was deliberate to mirror Socrates’ method of questioning or just a stylistic choice.
